Super helpful video Herman! I have hit lots of snags with live streaming and most of them have been connection issues but people are always super supportive to wait out while it works itself out. I had no idea about the ideal bandwidth recommendations! Doing a dry run on unlisted is SUPER smart!

Herman, Always enjoy your short produced videos and I listen to the entire clip. Ref the live streaming, if it is not live, I often listen to it for only a minute or two because the start is usually slow as you get going.

i faced the same problem today during my live lecture. i have an internet with speeds 120plus down 120plus download but today it was fluctuating and uploading speed was found 0.34 once. before it i was enjoying youtube lives... i want to know what should i check in my internet connection so that my live lectures go smoothly. i think ISP makes us fool.. i have airtel fiber still i faced problem today... sir plz make aware what should i check my internet connection... how should i set OBS... I SEARCHED a lot on youtube today but finslly i got urs..

Sounds interesting...but I think I have a great set-up and still I get capped on 720 p. I've just bought a new Zenfone 6 to boost my video quality. It's set to 4K my upload speed is a whopping 227.42 Mbps. WHY can't my viewers get a better video resolution!?

I would also try ethernet...just hardwire it with an ethernet cable. Much better stronger connection - less drop out of transmission.

Excellent - thanks for these tips. I've only livestreamed twice and still trying to get a handle on the technical aspects. As a one woman show, its a challenge sometimes but great when it all works well.

Hi Herman, Just to correct you it's megabits not megabytes in speedtest.net. It can be quite confusing at times. :)

I'm really having some problems with my internet
My speed is 25mbps Upload Which Means I can keep the bitrate At about 5000-6000, but OBS shows that I have an Upload of 500-600kbps and becoz of that my streams become super bad in quality, can someone help me with this issue?
