Genshin Impact's New Artifact System SUCKS

Genshin Impact's 5.0 patch just dropped for Natlan and many people were excited about the new Quality of Life updates, particularly the new artifact modelling system they introduced.
From "Genshin could never" to "Genshin could maybe?"....yeah- no. Genshin Impact, this is just NOT it.
This new artifact system is an absolute joke. Genshin needs to stop with this ridiculous gating BS. It's already gated enough by requiring 4 fully maxed out 5-star artifacts (which require resin, to remind you) we don't need this extra barrier.

I've had several comments about how you can use +4 artifacts for the transmuter, this is something I didn't realise at the time because I don't level up artifacts half-way. Either up to +20 if rolls are good, or quickly roll +4s etc. into other artifacts.
Still though, I believe my main point about the limit of the amount of elixirs that can be made from the transmuter still stands. Sorry for the confusion and I appreciate everyone correcting me on my mistake.

I'm reminded of when a Genshin fan argued against Wuthering Waves' generosity because "It leads to players having expectations."

I think the Genshin development team has a similar mindset.

They want to actively encourage a mindset where you accept breadcrumps.

I was just as furious as you were when I realized I could only make 1 every 40+ days. I agree that the system is fine if they removed that ridiculous timewall. I kinda get using additional elixers for additional stats, but if they're going to be greedy on something like that I'd rather them allow you to go up to choosing all stats because I can guarantee that Pyro/CR/CD piece you wanted more than likely is going to roll HP/DEF on the other slots making 4 elixers, 160 days worth of current waiting, a complete waste!

Correction. You can use lv 4 artifacts as well. It will just cost more.

This is one of the reasons that genshin is not appealing to me now because

There is so much restrictions everywhere

Players want to have fun in a game not tied to bunch of restrictions

There are so many restrictions in open world by stamina and you can't switch characters whan you jump or when you swim or when you climb or when you glide and many more

Really so much restrictions everywhere in this game like the new so called endgame and in that have restrictions with the characters.

I think I remember leakers said that you can only do this twice an update.

For me to fix it, they can just remove the timewall. Having 5×4 lv20 5 star artifact to sacrifice itself is quite expensive
