This is a nice change at Christmas or any celebration that requires a bit of luxury. A French style custard cream strawberry and blueberry tart. Whilst this is a more involved recipe, it can be easy if you organise yourself well. I'm not especially known for doing much baking, but I still found this relatively straight forward.

Full Recipe: Cream Custard Strawberry and Blueberry Tart

The Fruit;
15 fresh ripe medium sized strawberries
250 grams of fresh plump blueberries

The Custard Cream Filling:
4 yolks of eggs
80 grams caster sugar (blend these two)
250 mls milk (then stir in this)
30 grams of cornflour (combine thoroughly)
250 mls of fresh whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
** Stir over a medium heat till very thick.
Allow to cool then cling wrap and refrigerate.
Leave for at least an hour while tart crust is being made

Tart Crust Ingredients:
180 grams of softened butter
50 grams of caster sugar
1 egg
270 grams plain flour sifted
A dash of vanilla extract
