I wanted to add...I shot a beautiful Target buck, "And1" tonight in MN. Right around a 160" 11 point 😊. Death by cold front 👍 Ha! I can't tell you guys just how much this stuff works. Going to try again in the morning in WI. So thankful!

Thanks so much for watching everyone! And man...GOOD LUCK!! Enjoy this rut and weather combo...

Had the coolest experience this morning I’ve ever had here in Arkansas. Young buck came in just out of good sight. So I grunted to try and bring him in while he was bumping some does and had a full conversation with him but he never took his attention off the doe he was running. Just grunting back every time I grunted lol

Take his advice on the changing weather patterns. At 70 with 2 back surgeries I miss those days in a blind or stand because as weather changes pain increases. So my advice is never miss a day deer hunting as health may stop that someday. Now I watch from the windows and if I know rut is hot and heavy I watch a small wooded hollow by the house as most years a buck and Doe will spend time there out of the wind. Don't take life and health for granted if deer hunting is your passion hunt the rut and good luck.

By the way have 2 mounts about 160 range so yes I hunted every chance I could up until my mid 50's then all the screw and plates started pain that you would have to feel to understand. Pain medication can help but would make me sleepy and the thought of if I shot one what would I do. If you have second thoughts I encourage you to go hunting

Hi Jeff.
I have been following your advice for the last 3 years, stand access hunting the weather and wind and so on. Wow did it pay off!! On 60 acers I went from a scrub buck paradise to back to back 10 point years.
I killed one of my biggest bucks to date this morning. A 4 to 6 year old pennsylvania 10 point. Thank you Jeff for your willingness to share your knowledge with the bow hunting community.

Thanks for the pointers, Jeff. I've improved my hunts drastically by keeping a journal that includes dates, Temps, and wind speeds. Keeping a journal helped me to realize a lot of what youre saying in this post - otherwise, I may not have noticed.

Got the best buck I've ever gotten yesterday. I am in Eau Claire, WI. 11 points. :)

Keep doing what youre doing.

Cheers!

Love your videos, Jeff! Heading for Pike County, IL, for two weeks this Friday. This video was very timely as temps will be increasing into the low 60s next week and falling into the low-mid 50s the following week.

Yes sir, am one of the guys that can only hunt on the weekends. In addition, only public land is available. Do my best to take advantage of those times. Your videos are a real blessing, thank you. Am really excited, was picked for a draw hunt on a local WMA with rifle, normally it is archery only for that area. Anyway, can't wait for next weekend, the section given to us is a very secluded, hard to reach area, little human presence. lots of trails, looking forward to it. Again, thank you for your help, have a great season yourself!!!

You provide information that takes people a lifetime to gather on their own. Very grateful for the content!

Jeff, Could you maybe make a video on hunting evenings in the rut? Other than on weekends, with school I can't hunt mornings. Do you focus on feeding, transitions to feeding? Also do you ever use a decoy, grunt/rattle etc? Thanks for the great content

Great advice as usual Jeff. Last year it was 70 plus degrees all week. This weather is perfect this year.

You have been spot on with this information. I used the app, and it made me change my location that I was going to hunt. This lead to a dead buck in a 3 hr sit. I always hunted the morning until watching your videos this year. I got up the tree at noon, and by 3 the buck was on the ground. If I would have went that morning, I would have bumped some does according to the pics that the trail camera sent me. Thanks
