“It paints an elitist view of healthy eating rooted in privileged wellness culture”... YES

I’ve loved sarah for sharing her skin journey and definitely helped me heal my acne. Then loved seeing her grow so much through pregnancy and motherhood. I just haven’t been able to get behind her business endeavors though with her activewear line or Sunee for all the reasons that Abbey touched on. I still love watching her IG stories or a YouTube vlog when I have a little downtown though 😊

I’d love to to see a review video on the Tone It Up Nutrition Plan (originally sold online, now available in the app) and what they consider #TIUApproved foods and stop eating starches at 3pm..

Sarah is extremely likeable and she's honestly an incredibly sweet person. But, she's not the sort of person to look to medical or scientific evidence when it comes to making choices. I remember a time way back when she had a staph infection on her leg that spread to become cellulitis, and she complained about having to be on antibiotics (she had been putting honey on it before that point...). That still doesn't sit well with me. And I also saw that she has an herbalist make a chinese herb concoction to give her 2 year-old son. I would cringe if my brother decided to give my toddler niece an herbal mixture 😐 It's obviously well-intentioned but it feels dangerous to me.

Hey Abbey love your content! I was wondering if you could create a video covering multi-vitamins? Although like me many people eat balanced meals and lead wholesome and healthy lives, sometimes it is easy to fall short of certain micro-nutrients. I would like to know what factors should one consider to make a good multi-vitamin purchase. Thanks again for all the useful videos :) <3

Honestly I bought it months ago and find amazing. Me being gluten free and my boyfriend is lactose intolerant this helps us new recipes we haven’t tried before. I do see yes it’s a little overpriced but for me it made sense to pay it because I don’t want to do the research to find healthy recipes. I think it’s very situational if this app is for you or not. my respect has not went down at all for her. I think when something has worked very well for you and you want to share it then go for it. I mean obviously if someone doesn’t want to buy it then there are many many other ways you can’t find new meals without spending the money. (: just my opinion, the app works well for my lifestyle!

Look into Krissy cela, specifically the nutrition from her app ‘tone and sculpt’ but she also has what i eat in a day on her channel

Most, if not all of those pantry staples are readily available at the average supermarket in Australia at a fairly reasonable price. I can’t speak for Canada, and I think the app is expensive; but, I think the context is important.

I paused the video to say this; PLEASE DON'T USE HOME REMEDIES TO TREAT ABSCESS!! just go to the doctor and get it checked!

My freind ignored her ear perceing leaking puss "eww" for a week and tried to treat it with alcohol swabs "I know!" and she developed sepsis and had to take IV antibiotics and stay in the hospital for a week ! Just get it checked by a doctor and you'll be fine 🙏🏻

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I have definitely been one of those people who watch her and feel like I have to be dairy and gluten-free... I feel like I struggle so much with all these diets and the 'right way to eat, you bring it back down to earth and leave it simple, I love that. Thank you Abbey!!!!

Im glad we think alike! I used to love Sarah, before I made peace with food and became a sientist. But now I freak out when I hear the word "natural skincare" or "superfood", and all those trendy diet/health culture stuff. :D I would never subscribe to this app for that price.

Is anyone else dying at the whole zinc/abscess thing?? like in what world would a friend come to you with a festering abscess and without suggesting them go to the doctor/hospital you would just be like "OK NO PROBLEM HERE HAVE A ZINC PILL"

What are your thoughts on the tags? I’ve heard lots of people say they are mistagged on a lot of recipes? And in regards to price, here in Australia, lots of people lost their jobs, government support was decreasing right when she launched, making it inaccessible to a lot of people in her own country, let alone to other countries that are doing it far worse in this pandemic.

I appreciate how she always cites her sources so much

I love Sarah but realistically I feel like the recipes are probably full of ingredients that are hard to get in a small town. They're probably really expensive too. I think she probably has some really good recipes but I know I wouldn't want to get discouraged by not having access to those ingredients. She did say that if you're not gluten free or dairy free that you can absolutely use ingredients that work for you. I'm tempted to try it but now that I've seen the prices I think I'll pass!

Why are they always an Australian health and fitness guru? I swear thats all they do over there.

Someone once told me "Taking vitamins doesn't make you healthier...being the type of person who would take vitamins makes you healthier" and to me that's how I see a lot of "superfood" trends. Someone who is willing to spend $$$ on whatever extract or whatever powder probably also practices several of the general (and free) habits/behaviors that benefit health as well thereby confounding whatever claim people want to make about the "magic" of some specific niche ingredient.

I don’t really understand why people have to pick things apart! How many books are out there that are “gluten free” or “clean eating” are there macros and calories labeled in that? You all make it sound like this is the only recipe book out there that exist in relation to these topics. This is personal choice of hers and what works for her. People should have a little bit of common Sense
