After 9/11, Queen Elizabeth II Had the Band of the Coldstream Guard Play The Star Spangled Banner

After news of the 9/11 terrorist attacks hit, Queen Elizabeth II broke 600 years of tradition and had the Band of the Coldstream Guard play The Star Spangled Banner in a show of solidarity with the American people.

I remember when this happened. It was one of the greatest gifts given to us as American citizens from the greatest Queen who ever lived. It is because of things like this, her compassion and love for others, that made her the greatest queen that ever lived. She will be sorely missed. ❤

I remember after 9/11 so many nations stood behind us, but the United Kingdom was the first to stand beside us when without hesitation declared war against who ever did this. Thank you so much you were a badass. In America our government didn't do this for us. She held many candlelight vigil's and opened up churches 24/7 for weeks afterwards. We have many American expats living in the UK. She also donated to American Red Cross. In 2010 she visited New York and laid a wreath down.
