I just love the look Kirstie gives Scott before his solo, and the one Scott gives Kirstie before hers.
The love and admiration they have for each other is palpable.

Fun reaction. If you aren't aware, this is from the 1996 musical "Rent". It has a more nuanced/poignant feeling in the context of the musical where several of the characters have HIV/AIDS and its the contemplation of how do you measure a life, that now likely faces an untimely end. You measure it in love.

One thing it's kind of easy to forget about this video is that it was actually recorded live for the PBS show it was broadcast on. It wasn't performed live at the time, but recorded earlier and shown on the broadcast. But it WAS recorded live, so Kirstie hit that note and the riff afterwards when she needed to - and it sounded beautiful! I love the little smile she has at the end of the song - she knows she nailed that!

First time I saw this, my jaw dropped through the floor. Like, broke floorboards and sunk into the foundation of the house, it dropped so hard. I knew she could hit high "Mariah" notes, but something about this performance just stunned me.

I love the musical play "Rent" and this is my favorite song from the musical. Have you seen "Rent"? You may like it. Pentatonix performed this for the PBS July 4th special during the height of the pandemic so everyone was outside and on the roof of the building. Thank you for the reaction.

If you want another Kirstie song that not many reactors go for, I guess because there is no video, Over the rainbow, the one from their Classics album. I swear, you can hear Kirstie smile. I know people will scream The Wizard of Ahhhs here, and sure it's great too, and it has a video. But _Over the Rainbow_ because not many do.

Great reaction to a wonderful performance of this song. The whole video, including all the clips at the beginning, just make me smile. And Kirstie's part at the end is amazing. I'm not sure if you know that a few years before they did this, she spent about two months as one of the lead singers in a popular Broadway show called Kinky Boots. It seemed to me like she came from that experience with even more confidence in her voice and her stage presence, and it sure showed here.
