My first time doing curves was about a month ago. Got a drunkards path template for my bday and decided to jump in. I found that if i made fold lines (like your little triangles your due cuts make) along the curves at the same intervals, I can easily sew without any pins. Makes it so much faster!!!

Smaller curves are more challenging however, going slow will help as well as starting with the bigger curves until you work down to the smaller ones progressively.

If you turn the pieces the other way so that the green one is on top. You can pull the green and pink ones toward each other and the edge will also line up. There has got to be a video with this technique somewhere on YT.

Sewing curves is not easy for me because my sewing machine has two speeds: not moving at all but making awful noises when the pedal is pressed and going so fast it's like I pushed the pedal all the way down.

If you got a high Budget sewing maschine like that babylock it is that easy. With a low budget sewing maschine the fabric would run away while stitching...
