French seams are my go to and I feel like they look better on the inside should you accidentally put them on wrong😂

I have been searching for a way to do French seams on a curve and this mock French seam is the winner

I am in love with french seams and have started using them for all my cotton projects! I dont have an overlocker and I hate how zigzag looks, but this method makes me so happy.

I've never tried the mock one- that will be my next skill to learn

I just got myself a brother hc7140 since it's on sale and am about to start my first sewing project. It should turn out pretty good I think now that I know how to not f it up terribly.

Question from a beginner here...once you do French (or mock French) seam, the encased seam allowance doesn't seem to lay flat against the garment. That encased seam allowance is going to rub against the wearer's skin. Can you topstitch the encased seam allowance down so that it lays flat against the garment?

Isn’t this also a “flat fell” seam
At least that’s what it looks like (maybe a variant). Never heard it called this before if they’re the same

Girl, you are so beautiful! Why add something to take away from that beauty?
