Hi I tried that and mine still doesn't work it's driving me crazy. I reset network settings, reset router, changed the DNS, changed the IP address/Subnet Mask/Router to match my laptop since my laptop is connected but still nada. Please help me thanks!

These solutions don't work long-term. Why won't Apple address this? Countless users have been complaining for years, about iphones shutting down and greyed out wifi, way before IOS 17. I think its time for a CLASS ACTION SUIT,
This goes back to Iphone8 and now I'm seeing Iphone 14 with these issues. All over Reddit, Google, Iohone support groups and Youtube. Come on Apple, face up to this issue and fix it, instead of telling users is their batteries, outdated phones, etc, etc.
