UN says 'sexual violence' likely committed in 7 October Hamas attack on Israel | BBC News

A UN team has concluded there are "reasonable grounds to believe" sexual violence, including rape and gang rape, was committed during the Hamas attacks in Israel on 7 October.

They also said there was "convincing information" that hostages had been subjected to sexual violence.

Hamas has denied its gunmen sexually assaulted women during the attacks, but the UN report said that “conflict-related sexual violence” occurred in at least three locations - including the Nova music festival site.

The UN report also described reports of sexual violence against Palestinians in Israeli custody, including "unwanted touching of intimate areas" and "prolonged forced nudity".

But, the Israeli foreign ministry rejected these reports, calling them “malicious and baseless claims made against Israel".

What's going on here? This video lasts 6:36 but only just over 1 minute is devoted to the title of the video. Also, the video description contains I formation that is not even mentioned in the video.

Instead of devoting circa 85% of the video to other topics, why is there no footage of anybody interrogating what the UN spokesperson is saying to test the veracity of her and the claims she makes?
