AUDI Stronic Coasting Mode

Here is how Coasting mode works in Audi vehicles.
The function works smooth and provides fuel economy.

Don’t think that would save fuel as it’s a very short distance where the engine is at tick-over burning a small amount of fuel. In gear on the overrun the engine is burning no fuel whatsoever as the momentum of the car is turning the engine over!!

The only way this coasting mode would save fuel is on a long slight decline where the lack of resistance from the engine would allow the car to maintain momentum longer versus the overrun where you would eventually have to use the gas to maintain speed.
