I maybe wrong .but Google maps is not allowed to display license plates on anything .I think by law they must be blurded .the same as facial recognition.again I may be wrong.

You have to do this for each frame in which the house is being shown.

But it doesn't blur the satellite view (which actually gives more information), so what's the use? Anyone who is _that_ interested in its street view will just drive by the first chance they have.

Oh no… there’s no reason for it. It just draws attention to your house and turns your house into an eyesore on street view. There’s one house near me that’s done it and it pisses me off. I almost wanna send a letter with a picture of their house to them or something because it annoys me so bad.
