Im sorry to burst your bubble, but the 'broken wing' is just speed brakes deploying which slow the plane down usually when descending. Turbulence is common when facing 1. wind shear. 2. convection air currents. 3. crosswinds. the most likely reason you were doing a "go around" is most likely due to an unstable approach meaning they may have been coming in to 'fast', to 'low' or most likely due to the very strong winds that day. also incidents and accidents are two different things - plane crash means there is physical force applied to the aircraft to break it in some way, 'write off'. Plane crash is not landing safely at an airport with no damage and not fatalities. it is just emergency services making sure everything is ok. (Btw go arounds are completely normal:) (Im sorry i am an avgeek)

5:34 Also all that rocking is most likely due to crosswinds, the wind is blowing the plane and causing it to move from side to side.

About the plane crashes, you know that car crashes are WAYYY more common than plane crashes - and the 22 incidents of plane crashes, most of them would either be small turboprop planes or helicopers.
