Idea:

Make a 15-30 second countdown after the button has been pressed. That way, if it was accidentally pressed, it can quickly be undone. This can also serve as a way for the pilots to enter the cabin before the separation; that way all crew, passengers, and pilots survive.

I just realize 1 downside to this. What if the carrier lands on a building in a city or a forest where people are hiking? Especially at night where people might not see it coming. Also a fall like that before the parachutes activate and catch the carrier might cause damage to the people.

Sometimes, parachutes don't deploy. Even if they sometimes they get tangled tangled. I learned this back in the 90s, unless parachute Technologies got better than I just don't know.
