Oh I miss my Bodie he was my 217 lb lap dog. He is right they're very protective of their family and property. When Bodie was just still a puppy he would go into defense mode if someone was at the door. South African boerboel Mastiffs are one of the best dog breeds I ever had. RIP Bodie I miss you 😢

I have a Cane Corso X Boerboel mix and OMG this is accurate. He’s 15 months old, 160lbs but thinks he’s a lap dog. He’s loves everyone once he knows they’re ok, but Lawd… I think he has jet fuel for breakfast. He’s always ready to Go! Sweet, Smart, and Stubborn.

I love learning about the breed but I'm a small dog kinda gal. I had huskies when I was younger. Love learning about each breed and how they are trained. I believe in training big and small dogs. Love being around a well behaved dog. Makes me love them even more.

Got familiar with these chunky monkeys over 20 years ago in a work setting. They were out doing thier bred tasks and gaurding goats like most people consider LGD. Absolutely phenomenal breed! They sure weren't pets back then!

The older I get...the more difficult it has become to decide on a dog...they are all so wonderful!!!

I get a lot of attention when I walk my anatolian shepherd. He is only 10 months and he is already taller and bigger than a grown 3 y/o cane corso that lives near 5 minutes away from me. And yes people always ask questions. (All of the usuals). And forgot to mention, I appreciate all of the information u pour out there.

I am basically a city star since i own a Boerboel. People are always impressed by how big and muscular they are. They even stop with cars to ask about him 😂. If I go to a different city I get stopped by people continously. It's pretty 😁

Yep the breed is right for me I have one and I love my boy. I have an English Mastiff also a Bullmastiff and my Boerbel is the smallest but freaking powerful!

I get the attention you mentioned with my Mailnois. It’s not fun, especially with a dog that’s protective. Staring at a Malinois (or any protective breed) is a terrible idea, please don’t do it!
