Trying XCJ dumplings

For those of you who are not familiar with xiao long bao, it’s a type of Chinese steamed dumpling filled with a savory meat/veggie filling and flavorful soup broth that is encased inside the dough. It’s my absolute favorite kind of dumpling, and so many people said that XCJ made the best of them all.

So i tried them … and I agree!! 💥

Let me first admit that I’m quite the xiao long bao snob. I can tell when soup dumplings are pretty good, and when they’re truly incredible. These XCJ dumplings…are actually amazing.

I got the Classic Pork soup dumplings from @the_xcj and in my opinion, the flavors are definitely on par with the xiao long bao’s from Din Tai Fung - a super famous xiao long bao restaurant chain that never has a shortage of dinner reservations.

My XCJ dumplings were ready in just 11 minutes, and they looked just like the picture on the packaging! You know how sometimes the food you order doesn’t match the picture you see in the advertisement? Not the case here! Even better, those XCJ pork soup dumplings lived up to my ridiculously high expectations.
