Great summary. When you nail the focus on the A7II its apparent that the bokeh looks so much nicer as well. Great comparison.

Nice comparison. I was choosing between these two cameras a cuple of months ago but chose the A6400 on features and overall costs. Maybe if i had seen this video earlier I would have swung to the A7I I even though I rarely shoot portraits! However for the A6400 you should use the Viltrox 75 mm F1.2 for portraits - super creamy bokeh and great subject separation.

A7ii gonna give you better low light with it having a full frame sensor vs a6400’s cropped sensor. I’d go for the a7ii!

Side by side the full A7 looks better. However, since the 6400 also has a damn great image quality, I'm inclined to say that the smaller rig, flip LCD, autofocus and videofeatures of the 6400 makes more difference.

dude. that's not how you should compare anything. either you use the same lens for both cameras, or you switch the two different lenses between the two different cameras.
but the way you did it, is just pointless for someone who wanted to see a comparison between the two cameras since you didn't use the same lens on both. of course the 85mm will take better pictures (facepalm)

These aren’t fast moving models, so you don’t need next level eye tracking and crap. So many people commenting on such videos are obsessed with AF, like these are video cameras tracking wildlife or moving cars, it’s weird. If your number one concern regarding your camera is fps or AF, go buy a Blackmagic cam instead, and call it a day.

I would definitely choos A7II...nothing can compete with a large sensor.

AF of A7ii are faster a6000, but a6400 is better so much, faster and completely exact focus.
