Sony a7iii vs Sony a6400: Ultimate Comparison

Today I’m going to compare the Sony a7iii and the Sony a6400 for both photography and video. These are two of the most popular mirrorless cameras from Sony and offer two very enticing options.

There are a lot of similarities so I will cover the strengths and weaknesses of the #a7iii and the #a6400 for both photography and video, and compare everything from body type, framerate and resolution, autofocus, lens options, audio features, and ergonomics.

Just bought the a6400 (2 days This is so overwhelming especially since my only camera before this was a nikon D3200. This channel definitely pushed me to get this and I couldn't be happier.

NOTE (forgot to mention): The a7iii has dual SD cards which give you the ability to have an instant backup, or split your footage into 2 cards. One of the card slots is rated to support UHS-II memory cards.

i bought the a6400 based off this video and i've had it for a couple months and I love it so far, even tho i love the photos a full frame camera takes i dont mind standing a little further back to get that sort of full frame look 😁

I purchased the A6400 a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Great for both stills and video. I was extremely surprised at how good the kit lens is. Overall, it's the best bang for the buck at the moment. As always, great video and keep up the good work.

Nice comparison! I have the a6400 and am thinking of getting the a7siii. Do you think the a6400 is worth keeping for the 24mp pictures or should I just use the a7siii for pics with the 12 mp??? How do you think the quality would compare?

Bought the a5100 for my wife a few months ago thinking she could use my 24-240 lens on it since she likes super zooms and the flip screen was perfect for taking selfies while we're on vacation. But that 24-240 felt like it was going to break the mount on that camera. So I was looking for a smaller lens and decided on the 18-135mm sony lens. Well that lens is $600! Yada yada yada..."my wife" has a new a6400 with the 18-135mm. Just picked it up last night but it's well worth the price just in body construction alone. And with the animal eye autofocus, my little Teddy is going to have some killer pics without being focused in on his wet lil nose.

A very informative video and helps me a lot in choosing between A7iii and A6000. I di fair bit of travelling, so I choose A6400 because of weight and size. Also I have my A6000 since 2014 and bought some APSC lens so I think I'll stick with the APSC format.
