I called the VA at 800-827-1000 and inform them that:

The second time I filed a claim, I went through my entire military record and made copies of each page from my visits to sick call during service (there were pages missing) and highlighted everything I could find that proved service connection and submitted them with my claim. Went from a 0% to a 70%. It’s your claim, you have to do your due diligence to get what you deserve.

My C&P exam did not go like this, at all. It was hands down an interrogation where I was told that years of appointments, xrays, mris, surgeries, etc were not found in my medical record even though I have a physical copy and can look it all up myself (that's where I got all of the dates from), I was told I was lieing, words were put in my mouth REPEATEDLY (ie stating "Oh so you would say that condition is a flareup." after I state multiple times I have neck pain or something else daily.), then would jump back and forth after already receiving all the relevant dates and medical information and try to verbally change my answers for me. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS BEHAVIOUR AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. To this date, my actual back, hamstring, and neck injuries from combat have not been rated, and I just got out of a serious emergency neck disk replacement (ACDF) surgery that severely worsened with time from an original military neck injury. The C&P exam is not to help you, it's designed to make you fail so they don't have to pay out for claims. The entire process I felt attacked and disrespected, even though I hired a proper company to review and walk me through the full process.

I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW WHAT I LEARNED - YOU CAN DECLINE THE C&P EXAM AND JUST PRESENT THE EVIDENCE BACKING YOUR CLAIMS AND THEY HAVE TO ACCEPT IT FOR REVIEW. That's coming from a legal law firm dealing in veteran's claims.

I don’t know why I feel a little scared to even pull out my notes during the C&p let alone a DBQ. Thank you gentlemen you both are doing a great job.

I had a very unprofessional Nurse Prac C&P exam this week. DeWayne, thanks for this video. My visit was rushed, she was combative, and didn’t even do a fraction of Q&A that y’all just did. If I asked her questions or asked for clarification on what she was asking for, instant attitude and yelling/sarcasm. I called QTC right after leaving and lodged a complaint with the VA, plus the feedback card in the QTC packet. Don’t just feel intimidated and not give them feedback, as this NP was absolutely out of bounds, not an advocate for vets, and was extremely unprofessional, let alone lacked in the interview process compared to DeWaynes mock video.

I'd love to see this same Mock Scenario as a Secondary. Great work.

Alot examiners I feel have pre conceived notions that the veterans are just trying to get over.

Good job putting this process together. A Excellent example of how a veteran should be ready/prepared at any C&P Exam e.g. (DBQ filled out, dates, and documents). Thanks for sharing. You always make it simple and keep it real 🤣

Another home run video. I saw it a bit too late. I recently had a C&P with LHI. It was probably the most thorough exam in my last 3 C&P exams. I was nervous, but I had prepared some final notes to share with the RNP. I had to do exactly what DJ did. I had to point out my test results that were in my current claim and some in the service file. My after action thoughts are always worse than it really was, but my wife who was my witness said that it went well. She was able to share some symptoms with the Nurse Practitioner that I forgot and the RNP noted them during the exam. Only time will tell how it washes out in the end. I appreciate your tips guys. Thank YOU for your service!

I brought my prescriptions, and knew the DBQ before for that condition. My examiner, said she didn't have the notes the VA did not send them for her to review. I believe this why I grew from a previous 10% rating to 40%

Excellent video/content as always! Wish I’d seen this before my Migraine C&P. Was originally denied, now it’s pending in the Supplemental Claim lane.

That's True! Everybody's Claim and Exam/Examiner are 'Different'.

But, what do you do when the Examiner says, "Out of All the Veterans I've examined this year, you're the only one with a legitimate disability.

But, I'm not going to put that in my report."

I've been suffering since 1993. smh 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

OUTSTANDING Video, most vets I would think are nervous during C&P exams, the role playing was great and taking a copy of DVQ is Priceless idea.
