In today’s video update, we will talk about Canadian Government preparing to announce Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024 by February 2022
Please keep in mind that this will be the first Immigration Levels Plan announcement since last October. The new Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024 is expected to be announced on 11 February 2022.
The Government of Canada will publish a major update next month when it announces its Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024.
The Immigration Level Plan announcement will comprise Canada’s immigration targets for the year 2022, and the next two years, in addition to the number of new immigrants Canada will seek to welcome under its diverse economic, family, and humanitarian immigration programs. Please keep in mind that it will be the first such announcement since Canada made the surprise announcement last October it would pursue to allow over 400,000 new immigrants in Canada per year moving forward, or roughly 40,000 more annually than its previous targets.
Under Canada’s key immigration law, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), the federal government should make this announcement by 1st November every year when Parliament is sitting. If in case the Canadian Parliament is not sitting, the announcement is needed to be made inside 30 sitting days of Parliament resuming.
