I didn't know about this, although I have noticed the arrows and wondered what they were for. How did you find out?

Whilst this may work if you do it carefully, many people will end up bending the nozzle too much risking grip full squirting out everywhere, from the tip and the base of the nozzle. The instructions specifically say to use a long nail or similar.

I dropped a tube of grill fill on the floor, when I went to straighten the nossel I heard the pop of air! Then I realized what the arrows were for.

After bending the nozzle to the arrows the glue now comes out of the arrow bit and the top 🙁

This is rubbish - you are more likely to break the nozzle out of the tube which will create a mess.
