During WW2 my father serviced repatriating several of those from the Polish concentration camps, since he spoke Polish ... he said it was impossible to wrap his mind around not only was done to these people but how they could have possibly have survived it. Growing up he had never said ANYTHING about this, he told it to my daughter who was interviewing her grandfathers for a school project on Veterans - we chose to record it ... it was the first time I ever saw my father cry, while he was telling his story, not even after my brother died when I was 10 yrs old

I'm not sure what to think here. If he had refused to be an accessory to murder, he would have been killed presumably?
