Junior doctors in Kolkata staged a protest in the Lalbazar area on September 3 over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9. The medical professionals continue to demand justice for ‘Abhaya’. In a recent development, CBI arrested Dr. Sandip Ghosh, ex-principal of RG Kar Medical College, for alleged corruption and financial misconduct. Slogans of 'Abhijit go back' were raised during the protest held by junior doctors over the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case in Kolkata last night. Slogans were raised when BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay reached the protest site yesterday.
