"I'm not getting too old to manual, It's just my back and hip are out."

Boy do I feel that. Yeah, I'm not too old, it's just my back is out :)

Neil...amazing as always. Chris...your bad*** status is cemented already as a manual machine!
Thanks to both of you!

for people who are just learning to manual it's important to appreciate how much muscle memory is crucial to automatically make those tiny adjustments to maintain balance.
this only comes through repetition.
this isn't something you pickup in a day (for most) but something you do every time you ride to keep polishing the skill.
always: play and have fun and the skill will come 👊🏼

I hope this helps because I’m still not able to get to the first level of manuals

I just did my biggest manual ever today and I have been really trying to learn how to manual over and land manual out of a jump and this video will most likely help me a lot

When the pros are having trouble with this stuff, just remember that it’s not an over night skill. It could take years to master a regular manual, let alone these advanced techniques! If I can master the regular manual I’ll be happy!

The lanual is still on my bucked list. The few I did were more luck than a consistant skill. But it's getting there ^^

I am no Wyn master but when i lanual I like to keep low on a lanual and pump with your legs at the bottom of the landing, I have done it in both ways but I find if you use the back brake once you are likely to need to use it harder next time you break. I also like to keep good speed, even if i want to style, as if I want to style over jumps ( which happens to be at a similar trail that I'll lanual on) I like to use a scrub method instead of a whip as my scrubs look and feel better than my whips and tables while boosting. It might be different for heavier rider as they can get more grip and modulation using there breaks. I am very light and don't carry much speed.

I can manual pretty well on the flat sections of trail and through doubles, but I struggle to hold it up through multiple rollers.

99.99% of us will never be able to do it. So we enjoy watching you. LOL.

On lunch can't hear a damn thing I will watch this later

As usual guys excellent video and since it deals with manually that's something I will never be able to do no matter how many 20 something odd years I have tried

True story. In 2017 I tried a big manual as someone who is not very good at small manuals. I looped out and knocked myself unconscious. Then spent three weeks in hospital which included a six hour operation, then a few months of rehab. I had given myself two brain haemorrhages, a broken collar bone, a collapsed lung and smashed my pelvis to pieces. In hospital they couldn’t believe I’d done this to myself, they thought I must have been hit buy a truck. All my own fault but with a touch of ‘freak accident’ about it. Made a full recovery and love my mountain biking more than ever. What’s the moral of this story? Dunno - be careful I guess.
