Windows 7/8/10: Windows Firewall Won't Turn On - Quick Fix

If your Windows Firewall is unable to start, this tutorial is for you.

Since Windows Firewall is very useful feature, especially if you don’t have any third-party antivirus software installed, this could be a serious problem. So, we came up with a few solutions, in order to help you to solve the problem with Windows Firewall.

When you go to turn on Windows firewall manually, you receive the following error addressed in video: "Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x80070422". Please note, the error code might be slightly different for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1.

Another thing you can try if the tutorial above does not resolve your issue:

Step 1: Press Windows key and R key together to open the Run window.

Step 3: load NORMAL STARTUP NOT the selective startup then restart you computer.

Mine shows as disabled on services
And in properties on the startup type its greyed out and i cant change anything... What can i do?

Been trying some videos including your latest video about this problem and couldn't get anything to work. First of all the startup is greyed out at "Automatic", then when I try to start the service I get this "Windows could not start the windows firewall service on local computer. Whenever i update or use recommended settings it just loads for about 30 secs then nothing happens after it loads there is no error or anything that appears can someone help?

Windows defender service on local computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programmes. How do I fix this?

Okay, I might sound like I am crazy but 1, every time I go to settings and try to turn off windows defender it tells me “You need a new app to open this windows defender” plus my computer takes to long, LAST, I can’t type in the windows bar so I probably need to buy a new one or I need to find the right video..
