Your boy is actually walking right behind you nodding his head in agreement, he wasn’t embarrassed or trying to be not seen. Greatest part of the video. Good job mom and dad

Last year my family and I went 9 days without power after a storm. Local walmarts were out of water 24 hour before it hit and had none for a few days after. M.R.E.s, beans and canned food we already had prepped could have held us over for a month as well as our water. Dont wait for the storm, keep cases of water and rotate your stock so you're not causing others to do without. Another good tip is have a charcoal grill and several bags of lump coal on hand for the meats that can be smoked/cooked and preserved before they spoil. With that basic prepping, we only opened th the oldest M.R.E.s as a novelty to entertain the kids...a rock or something. God bless you all in the storm's path, our thoughts and prayers are with you

Chris, at 5:30 on the video behind you are those big orange containers with a Spigot for water used at soccer games and other sporting events. Instead of people buying small water bottles, I think money is better spent buying those and filling them with tap water beforehand. After the season, it can be dumped in the garden. Refilling them from home before hurricanes makes better long term sense and won't run out as quickly as individual bottles. They are also something that can be thrown in a car if evacuation is needed

Buy water containers and fill at home. Cheaper, more accessible

I live in South Dakota, no hurricanes here. But it amazes me how many people aren't ready for blizzards here. Prepping isn't crazy, it's smart.

watching the news - i'm here in Tx but seeing people rushing to the store and buying the wrong items - made me cringe. On the news they showed so many people buying items like freezer foods and milks - things that go in the fridge - i just shook my head. People have no common sense. No matter how many hurricanes come our way - or how many times they are told on what types of items/foods they need - they still go back and buy the wrong things. When people have a survival and prepper mentality - they grab what is needed and what is going to last. Its more geared towards survivalism and practicality - we preppers actually use common sense. LOL. Thank you so much for showing this video - i hope people watch it in the coastal areas! I think this vid is very useful!

Be safe out there to those in Dorian's path. My stepsister is down there and I'm hoping she and her husband are safe.

Hey man, checking in from Charleston here. A week ago the weather forecasts started predicting this. I already have a lot of preps in place but we always “top off” before a storm. So.. I went to Wallyworld and topped off with a few extra cases of water, shelf stable snacks etc. (we’ll fill our containers with tap water later this week too). Well.. a few people saw me doing that and asked what I was doing and I said “prepping for Dorian”. One lady whispered “me too” and winked. Several others rolled their eyes and said “that’s silly, we don’t even know where it’s going yet.” I shrugged and wished them best of luck finding what they need next week.

There may be others doing this but you are the only one I’ve seen.. good on you! People might not think of some of this stuff on their own.

Being a resident here in Florida let me give you a hint. That Water. While the Water Bottles are convenient you're going to need to fill half your Garage with them for a family of 4 for 14 Day. The recommendation is one Gallon of Water per Person per Day. That's 56 Gallons of Water. A better way is to get the Aqua*Tainers sold by WalMart They hold 7 Gallons each which means you would only need 8 of them. They have built in Water Spouts and are stackable.

Thank you for doing the Video, there aren't many out there.

As of 1700 this evening the Tracks had Dorian making a right Turn and staying off the Coast. (We're only forecast to receive Tropical Storm Winds where I am but that can change quickly.)

My dream truck is a military 6-ton... just for heavy moving and prepping. Good job making lists and trying your best to help people. Your videos help so much and give a lot of ideas to people who might not be the most survival-situationally minded.

I live in Central Florida. We are watching Dorian. We stay prepared year round. There are shortages of gas, water and equipment. There was actually a fist fight at our Walmart over bottled water. I was proud all we had to do was fill the car with gas and that was done before the shortages.

We are ready. Hopefully we won’t have it too bad. We are in north central Florida . We got gas many days ago and thank goodness we did because no gas for 100 miles since Thursday night. We are set.
