Transform your acoustic guitar with this bridge pin hole slotting mod! Unlock the full potential of your instrument with this simple modification.
In this video I try the bridge pin slotting mod on my old acoustic guitar using the instructions in a great video from Driftwood Guitars. It is a little scary to perform the mod but the method demonstrated by the folks at Driftwood Guitars is clear and detailed. You can check out the full original Driftwood Guitars how to video here:

Let me know if you think it worked out (there is a sound clip comparison at the end of the video)!

Sounded like the 6th string was buzzing a little prior to the Mod. Cleaned it up nicely!

I heard a more full, focused sound. Pretty cool if that came from the modification, only. But it makes sense. Logical.
I see the bridge plate lasting longer as well due to the ball not grinding the edge of the hole. I could also see the fight beginning between the " can't do that to a pristine or vintage or ..." vs., the player looking to improve their tool or piece of equipment they work with, play with. Just depends. Ahh .. the ever ending pursuit of tone and feel..😊. I do have a Silvertone bass from the 60s all original. And it'll stay that way. I've also modified a 72 Gibson. enjoy the ride my friends

Can hear slightly more bottom end (slightly) but sounds like a little more mid range with presence.

After doing this mod on my guitar I noticed that the string spacings were uneven. I don't know if they were before the mod?
