I'd like to see a comparison on gamming with mint 22 and lmde6. I'm more inclined towards lmde6 but this doubt makes me stick with 22

What's the average amount of RAM in a newish PC ? 16G of RAM perhaps. Anything in the past 5 years ? 8 to 16G . Not sure if the amount of RAM shown makes any real difference; Personally, I would not be concerned about RAM consumption unless it was using MOST of the ram available; 4G of RAM seems like an amount that one might put in a test VM; so not going to be concerned any bit. I stopped using REAL machines with 4 G of ram well over a decade ago.

I don't see even that big of a difference between Windows and Linux; with Windows, RAM consumption only begins to be a problem when it passes about 80 to 90%.. At that point, you need to change your habits, or upgrade your hardware. If you can't upgrade your hardware, then it's definitely time to change habits or the apps that you are choosing.
