Hi there is medication you can get for cold sores prescribed by your doctor. I was constantly being made fun of for having herpes growing up and it was something I suffered my entire childhood, but in high school it really got out of hand. My science teacher felt so bad for me and actually told me I should ask my doctor for acyclovir so I did. I take it whenever I feel the tingle and I am not kidding when I say I haven’t had one since. It literally changed my life, hope this helps. Also fun fact- 67% of all human beings on this planet have oral herpes. It is very common, not something you can control, and definitely not nothing to be ashamed of.

A reminder to also not touch your eyes when you have a cold sore! They can spread to your eyes which at worst can cause blindness.

It's so nice hearing people talk about this in a normal context !! My partner has herpes simplex passed down from a family member when he was young (using same cutlery) and he was super scared to tell me thinking I'd dump him on the spot. I was very naive about it and didn't know squat ngl, i deadass thought i was going to contract it on the spot and have my life doomed with cold sores. Thank god i did my research and educated my dumbass self, cause genuinely the only info i had of stds was from highschool sex ed and their textbooks filled with all types of stigmas. Fun fact. Not all mouth 👄 sores are cold sores. Cracking at the corners of the mouth is called angular cheilitis and it's a sign of anemia or low b vitamins. It can also be caused by the buildup of salvia (if you drool in sleep) causing a yeast/fungal infection.

I get cold sores a lot. And I’m talking a lot, they are horrible, always itchy, cracking, bleeding, and just hurt. Feels awesome how an influencer opens up about them! I use these patch’s a lot, when I go to bed, when I’m out, or just at home so I don’t scratch at it! This is great, new sub!

I didn’t know that cold sores were herpes until about a year ago. I’ve had them for as long as I could remember, but maybe once every few years. I had no power to stop getting it as I didn’t even know what it was. So many more people have oral herpes than you might realize. I’m glad that this video doesn’t look down on having it. It makes me feel better about being a victim

And always take a high dosage of Lysine - it heals it so quickly! Combining that with a cream clears it up for me in a few days if you do both straight away

⚠️, Cracks in the corner of the mouth may not be cold sores and if cream's not working they're probably not. But they can be Angular cheilitis Also called: angular stomatitis. It's not viral. It's irritation due to exposure to saliva. Creams can make it worse because what you really want to do is keep the area dry.

Omfg, YES! These are so good. I’ve suffered with cold sores since I was a kid and these things work better than anything else I’ve ever tried. I can’t remember the brand, but they also make patches for blisters on your feet. I 100% recommend 👍🏼

Try taking Turkey tail mushrooms. I seen it work wonders on a herpatic outbreak in the eye that was causing severe damage. A cloud appeared over the eye, even expensive specially formulated drops from professionals weren’t helping, then Turkey tail mushrooms and boom, eye completely cleared up.
