Hermaeus Mora is The Daedric Prince of forbidden knowledge in The Elder Scrolls series! You visit his realm of Apocrypha in Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC. It is full of hidden secrets and lesser daedra like Seekers and Lurkers. Mora's best known artifacts are tomes such as the Oghma Infinium, said to grant one near demi-god capabilities. There's also the Black Books, tomes of forbidden knowledge that can possess secrets of the ancient past, or even the future. But read them at your own risk, as they may very well make you lose your mind! Visit our channel for more Skyrim lore, daedric prince theories and Elder Scrolls discussions.

Imagine becoming so knowledgeable and self-aware of the world around you through HM’s power that you realise you’re just part of Michael Kirkbride’s drug included imagination.

Hermeus Moras greatest weakness is that he only has power/knowledge over the written word...the knowledge and wisdom of the Skaal evaded him until the events in skyrim

Ironically he seems actually reasonable. Serve him and collect knowledge and you get cool Eldritch powers. I’d choose him over Molag Bal anyway.

Apocrypha is an accurate representation of my room as a university student

He seems like the best prince to deal with overall if you have the mental fortitude for it and your goal is power and knowledge.

If I chose to serve any Daedric Prince, it would be this Lovecraftian cosmic horror.

At this point I'll serve which ever daedric prince will take me to oblivion and away from this world.

Serving the daedric prince of forbidden knowledge sounds cool on paper but Herma Mora has a nasty habit of having his followers killed the millisecond they are no longer useful to him

Herma Mora always intrigued me. Which is absolutely no surprise, considering Yog-Sothoth was one of my favorite concepts/characters growing up.

I don't think you can serve Hermaeus Mora directly without losing most of your being

Huge fan of Lovecraft here, absolutely love his entire aesthetic. And Hermaeus slots right into it. It's like speaking to the Great Old Ones themselves, but I'm already madd enough to understand him without effort.

I feel like Hircine is the most chill prince even if he doesn’t give you arcane knowledge capable of changing the fabric of reality

No. I wake up to challenge every daedra, drink skooma, and win over serana.

Based off eso he’s apparently a good ruler to if the ciphers are anything to go by. Given power, relitivly left to their own devices, given jobs and purpose and all the books they want. Only downside being it’s relatively unsafe outside of their compounds, can have incursions from other deadra or dreamkin and the bargain must always be payed in full by both parties wich can be more fucky then one would first think.

The thing is except for fargrave those downsides are stock standard and apocrapher is definitely the best of the lot so that’s another boon to mora.

As long as you don’t anger him, try to break a bargain or mess with his deadra your relitivly safe and secure

Hermaeus Mora's greatest weakness is the illiterate.

I like the fact that he's a inspired version of Cthulhu

Mora definitely gets a +1 respect for outright warning you that his realm is dangerous and you should leave by reading the Black Book again if you're not up to it.
