This Batman new suit is ugly so much. I can't recognize even the Bat symbol. DC don't needs of your own Ultimate universe in my opinion, they need fix your main universe to boost your sales again.

This has been going on almost 20 years now. DC “reboots” their comic universe and sales get a boost…then fans realise that none of the problems from the last reboot were fixed, a whole bunch of new problems are created, continuity gets even more confusing, sales drop and DC announces a new reboot. Repeat.

I would love to be excited, because despite the damage done the the DCU, since around 2008, certainly 2011, when it was too far gone, I still love the characters, themselves. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Green Lantern Corps, the 4th World, the DCU, at its core, is amazing. But I can't read newer books. The best stories are boring, at best. Garbage time activists and people looking to revise everything have tainted the whole thing.

The absolute universe, I can't see it taking off. If you know that the main DCU is in shambles, it's hard to care about some offshoot universe. Part of the fun of reading books, back in the day, for example, Batman has a run-in with the Suicide Squad, rescues prisoners, and a manhunter base explodes. When he meets back up, with Superman and the rest of the JLA, he'll brief them, on what happened, the story will build from there. I used to love that. It encouraged me to get tie ins. Now, who cares?

I’m a lifelong DC fan. Almost 2/3 of my 40+ year collection are DC books… but I have no interest in the Absolute Universe whatsoever.

(And to be fair, I had no interest in the Ultimate Universe either.)

I can’t wait to see Lemire on Flash. I know a lot of people didn’t like Camp’s Ultimates so far, but I’ve really liked it. I’ve also wanted to see Martian Manhunter.

I just hope these are all very different takes on the characters. I don’t want to see them all be the same characters, but in a different world.

Honestly I'm so over Batman at this point there should not be involved with absolute universe. In order for people to give the other characters a chance you got to get rid of Batman like I'm not saying he can't be in a universe but don't give him no solo book. Sorry if people want to see Batman they're going to have to read the other absolute books that's how I look at it and then he'll only appear mainly in absolute Justice League. But this crap is getting dumb that we keep having all these Batman stories and that's all DC seems to want to keep pushing no stop it
