This concept really took me back. The idea that the act of resting, of finding time to do nothing, is almost revolutionary for people of color. WOW!

Have you ever taken a mental health day, gone on vacation, or gone on retreat? If you have, than your aware of how just a few days of stepping away can drastically transform your perception and energize you toward your goals.

It's frustrating that the narrative for people of color is that we are lazy, unfocused, or unskilled. The labor and ingenuity of BIPOC dreamers have been the foundation of massive wealth and privilege all around the world. Not to mention the stamina physical endurance needed to survive the unfavorable conditions of our history.

But still, BIPOC dreamers confide that they don't have the time and space to be at rest because the systems that drained their vitality and bared them for benefiting from their work haven't equip them with the financial flexibility to stop.

Imagine a generation of BIPOC dreamers that were rested and focused. We've done such amazing things with so little it stands to reason that we would shine brilliantly once the playing field was level. And that's a good thing for everyone. Because the creativity of BIPOC dreamers could only ever enrich or collective human experience.

Divine by Design is raising funds to sponsor our team and a few students participation in IASD annual dreaming confidence in Ashland Oregon and we'd love your support. Where hoping that this year the conference is more representative of the diverse peoples who have chosen to follow their dreams.
