Luis Muñoz Marin was the first elected Puerto Rican governor but the first Puerto Rican governor was Jesus T. Piñero, who was appointed by the US government!

Columbus never got out of the Ship 🚢. It says on his diary. My grandfather was born in the year 1888. He was born under Spain. He got his citizenship in 1917. I've dropped 30 pounds during Maria but it was my 3rd hurricane. Pirates 🦜 I've survived Zika, Dengue (yellow fever) and COVID 19. Nice rendering 👍

My Grandpa was born in Puerto Rico. He moved to New York City in his twenties.

So in my DNA, I am 17% indigenous from PR, but no mention of Venezuela. My paternal side arrived her from Portugal and Spain around 1500 to 1600's. I get my 17% from my paternal side. My maternal side is 75% Iberian peninsula, but that 75% includes a lesser percentage from my dad. I embrace all of it. It's a beautiful blend of various cultures, and I love my blend.

One thing that I see is missing is that the first Puerto Rican governor of Puerto Rico was Jesus T. Piñero under the colonial government. He wasn’t elected but appointed by the US Congress because that was just before we became the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (Estado Libre Asociado). He was governor from 1946-1949 until Luis Muñoz Marin became the first elected governor by the Puerto Ricans. Just another historical fact.

A too brief Puerto Rico history. The video said that Luis Muñoz Marin was the first democratically elected governor of Puerto Rico. That would be impossible, since Puerto Rico has been a United States (US) colony for the past 124 years. No democracy without Puerto Rican sovereignty. The video did not mention that the US refused to comply with the United Nations’ (UN) Charter of 1945 that prohibits colonialism for being a crime against humanity. Thus, the US is an outlaw state! Moreover, the US has ignored 41 UN resolutions asking her to immediately return Puerto Rico’s sovereignty to the Puerto Ricans. It’s time for Boricuas to stop being the gentle people that Columbus encountered in 1493. The 9 million Boricuas worldwide should engage in permanent resistance to force the US to comply with international law. Only resistance could end PR’s long colonial nightmare!
