I just watched a screening of Top Gun Maverick in London last night and oh my, when Kenny Loggins Danger Zone comes on at the beginning the smile on the faces of the entire audience was a mile wide. I didn’t think it was possible to top the original but Tom Cruise and the producers have done it. A beautiful movie with wonderful story telling, pace, action and healthy dosage of nostalgia. It was like rekindling with a long lost friend. 10/10

Been waiting on this 36 years. Born the year it came out, obsessed with it as a kid and in to my teens. The theme song has an ingrained emotional connection to me, and hearing it again in a new take is just...it makes me want to cry. Top Gun was my childhood and no sequel has ever MEANT something to me as much as this one does. I cannot, SIMPLY CANNOT wait to see this day one.

I absolutely love this, I saw the original when I was 2 and got hooked for life. I watch top gun at least 25 times a year for the last 32 years and never gets old. Always hoped they would make another and my dream finally came true.

Only in the U.S could you get the Navy to loan an aircraft carrier for the premier. Yet it makes sense, since Top Gun increased the number of people who applied for the Navy. As I'm sure this sequel will do as well. So its good PR.
