I think it would’ve been much more helpful to know what color, smell, consistency, etc the chicken is supposed to be rather than just A) own a thermometer and B) know what cooked chicken looks like. Was expecting much more detailed tips and tricks.

So seeing that it’s cooked is how you know that it’s cooked?

That seems more than a little bit circular. 🤷‍♂️

How to see if it's cooked, check if it's cooked haha. How about saying something about texture/color of cooked chicken?

I get that kind of with your cooking pan, but isn’t there warm air around that piece of chicken that you are taking the temperature of? For example, like if I’m checking the temperature of some hamburgers that just came out of my air fryer and it’s still warm in the area of the meat how can it be correct? I took the temperature of my hamburgers that were done being cooked in my air fryer and they were good and above 165°. But then I bit into it and halfway through the burger I noticed that it’s still pink in the middle. So I just want to know everything but the basics on how to take the temperature of meat properly. Sorry to be a hassle but that’s just how my brain works and I make everything simple more complicated because I want to know more than what is talked about.

I made chicken the first time for my mom when she comes home (17 y/o and am a horrible cook) so I was hoping there’d be more detail like the texture but it got some nice brown outside and wasn’t pink inside so I assume that’s done
