Or you could just jack it up with just the jack and accomplish the same exact thing without having a giant heavy metal bar taking up all kinds of room in the shop

This is a simple and interesting device, but it is only suitable for cars with a huge ground clearance. Most modern cars are not compatible with it. The device will only work with the back where there is a void. In front, there is the suspension, the engine crankcase, and its protection, there is barely 130 mm clear.
In addition, a square pipe for heavy cars needs to be reinforced with scarves from the bottom to ensure sufficient rigidity. Because even in the video you can see how the pipe bends. After 10 lifts, it will take the shape of a hemisphere.

Nice welding, but maybe there's a reason why these are not commonly sold . Huge risk involved .

Nice, but where was the clip of the car driving up onto the round stock? While it was balanced on the jack, the round bars weren't on the ground.

I would definitely say test it on different weight cars so you know it’s tension strength. This is a great build but I’d like to know it’s weight capacity.

Nice first attempt. But it would be more useful for cars that can't move under own power if the 4 rods were wider, and are inserted into receivers. This way you position it under the car, insert the 4 rods front and aft of tires, and lift. Lower the car elsewhere or when done, pull out 4 rods, remove the assembly and jack.

thats a good idea and well built. i would change piece in middle and make it go in the hole on the jack after removing the lift disc. but over all this is awesome

Excellent idea for lifting a car evenly to fit the axle stands.
Very nice welding.

Interesting design but I’d be hesitant to risk my life with that contraption as the ONLY thing supporting the car! I’d need additional redundancy, like a couple well placed jack stands to support the car once it’s up.

Awesome idea. My truck is lifted and it’s a pain in the ass to Jack it up. This is perfect. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Definitely would have to get jackstands under it for support in case the hydraulic jack failed.

Those welds at the end rods are impressive!

That's very good for vehicle's without a central jacking point, and yes you have to use jack stands.

That's great!
But how will that help rotate the tires?
Or do a brake job? 😳

Thank you for the fantastic video! The advice on just using the jack without the need for a heavy metal bar is extremely practical. It makes the whole process more straightforward and helps save space in the workshop. Your explanation was thorough and very helpful. I appreciate the time and effort you put into creating these videos. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to see more of your tips and tricks in the future!

I need to build one of those for a 3-point hitch to move my project cars around. Great idea! Just add a ratchet strap over each tire.

What is the brand of that blade, and can it be used on a regular chop saw such as a Rigid 14" chop saw?

I like how it doesn't put off a ton of sparks and all the dust that comes from typical chop saw blades.
