Paystar 5070 is excellent. Carried me through Michigan until I unlocked the P16. Then off to Taymyr and found the Tayga. Such a great truck.

Nice. For the fast and adventurous the is also the ANK. Can't decide if running out of fuel is bad because most of the times tipping comes first. Still it's a fun truck.

the awd twinsteer turns the game into speedrun mode. yes it uses tons of fuel and can tip over easy but if you know the route enough to not tip over, you'll be more than fast enough to do the job with the fuel its got. its also just the best 'rescue truck out of swamp' kind of vehicle since it just says "no you" to all terrain challenges.

A hot take that I'll always stand by is that the Paystar 5070 is a better early game truck than the Azov 64131, it teaches you how to effectively use low gears and diff lock better and the only upgrade you have to find for it in the world space is the offroad gearbox which is in Michigan

The tuz tatarin does fine in snow, the other down side is that it dosen't have a snorkel so it won't do well in water.

The White Wrstern Star is a fav of mine. Like theres gonna be better options at most things, but theres also very little it fant do (although ih may tale awhile).

Even without the AWD upgrade, the GMC is a very capable, fast, tall, and fuel efficient truck. It's only flaw is lack of suspension articulation. You can complete nearly all of Michigan with it, most of Alaska, and it will help out with long hauls in Taymyr. Don't disregard it just because it's the first truck you unlock. The highway class trucks in general make the game go by much quicker if you stick to routes they can handle.

Azov 64131 Is the best for me. Got into Michigan, comepleted the tutorial. Sold the first 2 trucks, The GMC and the other one you get when you unlock the garage. Came to Taymyr, bought the Azov. Great truck nonetheless.

Well when I started the game a year back, I would only use Azov 64131. The 3 downside it has is speed(subjective), low ground clearance which means you'll get high centered on big rocks, and since there's low ground clearance it means the tires will obviously be small.
My current favorite truck is Azov 73210, even without the raised suspension, that thing is just beast. Surely it gets stuck in deep mud and CAT has humongous tires in comparison to Azov7, but Azov is super versatile.
But for people who want to enjoy the game, use multiple different trucks rather than making just one truck your favorite 😂

Locking upgrades in dlc for non dlc trucks is an absolute scam 😭

The Step is also a pretty good truck. In my opinion it have a really good balance between power and fuel economy, and even without access to mud tires like most other Russian trucks it does really well in all but the worst terrain. The small fuel tank may also seem like a downside but having a switchable AWD makes it a lot more fuel efficient so it gets a lot more range than you might expect.

Actually, I find out that you don't need any DLC to have these later upgrates for the base game trucks. Just start a new game plus and select the setting that unlock all upgrades, and voala ✨ Now you can have fun, but it will probably reduces the game challenge... Since you don't need to go find any upgrades through the maps.

Tayga has difficulty sometimes starting up from stopping position. GMC seems to have the same issue.

The AWD upgrade for the GMC and TwinSteer are just absurd where they placed them. If u play the maps in order which i imagen most ppl do or atleast did before there was so many seasons in the game then by the time u find the GMC AWD upgrade your not gonna use that truck anymore. The TwinSteer while still VERY good with the AWD upgrade finding it is the problem. Its hidden away in a corner of a map not visable by any watchtower so unless u randomly happen to drive into the corner or look it up on Maprunner u would have no ide where to find it as its never revealed on the map by the watchtowers. Kola Peninsula i think most ppl would consider 1 of the hardest regions and especially the Imandra map and both of those 2 early truck upgrades are located in that region 1 upgrade in each map.
