I have to wonder if some parents think to themselves "I've been sleeping pretty well lately. How can I ensure that tonight I get a sleepless night full of terrified children, screaming their way out of a horrifying nightmare?" lol

I've shaved my head since 1990 so my kids have never seen me with hair before. So when lockdown started, I decided I was going to let it grow until lockdown was over. It did get long. The longest it had ever been, but all my kids, grandkids, and my wife was begging me to shave my head again. I went with my daughter to Texas to see my other daughter (her sister). It's a two day trip because of reasons, and on the way back, at the hotel, my daughter didn't want to get out of bed. That is, until I asked if she wanted to shave my head for me. She bounded out of bed like Tigger. Of course when we left, the trash can in the bathroom looked like it had a dead opossum in it. I've talked about growing it out again and all I hear is a chorus of,

So I can understand that baby crying over her dad shaving. My kids cry when I don't.

I love the video of the dad blocking the brat from blowing out the candles. Great parenting

You want to talk about dying inside? Imagine going to a job you really like, the lady promising you she’ll call you, her never calling you, and then your grandfather going up to her to complain like a Karen a week later, only for you to realize she had the intention of hiring you after all. Key word “had”.

21:55 She probably was about to upload her dance to thousands of people on TikTok, so why was she embarrassed when she notices just one more stranger had watched her performance?

The kid is adorable. She didn't want to hurt her mom's feelings. That is nice. Feel sorry for her though. 😂

My most embarrassing moment was at a Christmas Eve children’s service. My father was the minister, and since we lived in different provinces our children had never seen him preach. When he entered the sanctuary and walked to the pulpit, my 2.5 year old son - who was blessed with his grandfather’s booming voice and spoke crystal clear said “Papa, get that damned dress off!” I wanted to die right then and there as I knew no one on this church, but Dad threw his head back and roared laughing! Once he could find his voice again, he made SURE to introduce us to his congregation. If I could have crawled out of the building unnoticed I would have been gone. THEN my hubby opens my church bulletin and shows me one of the entries in the Order of Service. Much to my surprise, there was my name beside a notation saying “Special Anthem” and the musical selection Dad had chosen. I could tell by the wicked grin on his face that he had seen my head snap up in confusion and was enjoying himself. As it turns out, the Choir Director, knowing the limits of his wee country choir had bemoaned the fact that he didn’t have anyone who could do one of the more challenging pieces of music to my Dad. My father felt compelled to tell him that while piano had been my major at university, voice was my minor. The Choir Director had been so delighted that he practiced up a new and much more challenging version of the carol, and to be fair, his accompaniment was gorgeous and he gave me a copy of the score so I would see my entrances. Other than sight reading in competitions, that was the very first time I sang something that I had never practiced with my accompaniment but it went off well. At the end of the service we were surrounded by Dad’s very sweet parishioners ho all wanted to wish a Merry Christmas but I could not wait to get out of there. Right from the time my son opened his mouth, I could feel my cheeks burning with embarrassment and they never subsided the entire service. Now, as a grandmother myself, I can easily see my Dad’s point of view because I laugh at things my weens do that I probably shouldn’t, but can’t help it. 😳🤣😍🥰

My heart goes out to those nurses. I worked in a secure facility once and you just get so used to "door has card reader, swipe card" from doing it so much at work it becomes instinct to do it with any card reader if you still have your card on you. I only solved it by putting my card in my bag as soon as I was done work.

4:08 honestly that being a skit made 100% sense but it still hurt to watch. The reaction felt real but the news anchor was literally just reminded of the cord so it felt intentional on the anchors end. Glad to know it wasn’t real.
