Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (HD) [Hero Story] (No Commentary)

This is a playthrough of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for PC.

SANIC AVENSHURE TOOOOOOOOOO! SANIC! SANIC!

In 2001, SEGA decided to release a follow-up to their flagship Dreamcast title starring our ~favourite~ blue hedgehog, and an evil artificially created hedgehog who looks nothing like him - but that doesn't stop the military from mistaking the two!

Regardless of the very obvious flaws, Sonic Adventure 2 is my favourite game I've ever played and since I'm recording the game for the eventual HFC commentary I figured I'd upload the non-commentary gameplay here, as my old run hasn't aged too well.

The PC port admittedly isn't perfect. If you have a high refresh rate monitor you'll need to cap the framerate to 60 yourself with something like RivaTuner otherwise the game will run faster than it's supposed to, and there are a handful of other rough edges throughout, like inconsistent resolutions for cutscenes (with some using pillarboxing which, hilariously, doesn't -quite- reach the top of the screen).

It's still a convenient way to play SA2, however, which for someone who grew up in PAL-land with our low-performance Dreamcast and GameCube versions is something I'm grateful for.

The reason they mistake Sonic for shadow is because of the circumstances. The higher ups are telling the lower levels that Sonic escaped from the Military Base in order to cover up Project Shadow so the lower levels are trying to capture Sonic because they think he is a military escapee who was being detained for doing something wrong. The media mistakes Shadow for Sonic because their general frames are the same as well as the fact that Sonic has been shown transforming into his Super State (Which has the same hair frame as Shadow) before so they think that Shadow is another transformation of Sonic, plus the news isn't the most accurate or willing to tell the truth if it gets them ratings.
