You are the only brz owner who sat in the back seat to show us if people can fit. I'm not kidding. Thank you!

The rear seats are NOT there for insurance purposes. Toyota chief designer Tetsuya Tada has literally said he gave the 86/BRZ rear seats simply so they can fold down and owners can carry an 4 extra tires to the track. That’s it…he said he didn’t want to create a pure two-seater like the Miata and S2000 because those require a trailer, or a friends van to carry extra tires and he said that’s a pain in the ass. So he made millimeter adjustments to the car specifically so an extra set of tires fit with the rear seats folded down. That is the only answer why it has rear seats.

I got a 22 BRZ. Amazing car. The reason I chose BRZ over the GR86 was the 7K markup on all the 86’s in my area.

Former RF owner now in a 2022 BRZ here. I loved the Mazda and I love this. Pick either and you can’t go wrong…but if you are over 182cm (6ft) you are actually going to fit in the BRZ.

Actually had the BRZ (still completely stock) on track today and I spent 15 mins chasing two GR Yaris…and you know what? They were a tiny bit quicker on the straights but not very much. I was expecting them to run away and they didn’t.

4:40 Better than S2K in every way.
Except VTEC.

1:30 Small, comfortable and fun
2:40 Engine
3:55 Aluminum/light weight
5:30 Baby NSX looks
8:55 Old tech
10:30 Good resale value

Mike really could sell anything. I don't even like Subaru like that (or smaller vehicles in general), but thanks to Ian and Mike, I could so very easily see myself driving that thing. And I do like how "underdog" it seems. It's like the type of car that you wouldn't expect to be fun, but it turns out to be a barrel of laughs. :D

Truck engine was a bit disrespectful, though i understood what you meant. That said, it does rev to 7500. Most cars dont rev past 6000 these days, even NA. Performance oriented competitors in this segment dont rev past 6700, not even the SI. Its a pretty healthy revvy engine.

It's all perspective. The infotainment for me is amazing space aged tech.

Blows my mind how many people wanna ruin this car by making it supra priced because turbo/awd. This is supposed to be a spiritual successor to the AE86 not Supra or Celica GT Four. Not to mention all the people who ask for these expensive changes end up not even buying the car. 🤦

It’s crazy they less then ten thousand of these every year, I think the peak sales hit 11K during 2016.

This is a sexy looking car especially for the price.

I find the problem getting in personally. Exiting or as you say "pulling myself out" is easy to me.

Love my 2022 BRZ. The GR86 costs $2, 000.00 MSRP.

even though this has a boxer engine ... i would pick this over a miata ANYDAY. Miata's are too damn small

Might actually trade in my Miata for one of these... I guess we'll see 🙈

Quick question, I'm seeing a few YouTube videos by guys talking about silicone in the pick-up tube of the engine. Potentially could be an issue. Are they using silicone instead of a gasket? That would really piss me off as this same issue happened on my 1996 Corvette where the silicone dried up and started leaking.
