My mom was telling me that when she was in highschool the year Kurt Cobain died they had set up grief counseling for the students the next day because of how devastated people were by it, my mom told me that there was people in her school that were so devastated by his death they also tried to take their own lives and im sure that could be said by a lot of people who were alive at that time, which is crazy to me how he became such an icon in such a short amount of time 7 years that’s how long nirvana was around before Kurt died and in that time he became the most famous person in the entire world every body knows Kurt Cobain even now 30 sum years later he is still an icon to us younger generations of kids there isn’t very many other musician besides maybe micheal Jackson Elvis and John Lennon, that have made that much of an impact on the music industry

I don’t know if I believe him actually saying all of that stuff about wanting to “be famous, rich, and successful” to one of his old classmates. Kurt was actually uncomfortable with how famous he got because all of his messages were constantly being misunderstood by Nirvana fans and the media.

He hated that he was labeled “the spokesperson of Gen X” and the “voice of grunge.” He was unhappy with the music Nirvana was making and felt trapped by his success, which led to him attempting multiple times. He actually wanted to leave Nirvana to be a sideman in Courtney Love’s band, Hole.

Kurt also talked about how Nirvana’s most popular song (which is “Smells Like Teen Spirit”) was an embarrassment, and even said that he never wanted to sing, he wanted to play the guitar and hide in the background. He never wanted mainstream success, he just wanted to make music for people like him.

I mean, he literally wrote how he hasn’t felt happy when listening to and making music for years on end, and he was sick of not being able to feel any sort of passion for what he was doing. The sheer amount of fame Nirvana had gained really messed him up, and it aided in his mental health declining.

The truth is, anyone who looks at a naked baby and thinks it’s inappropriate is not normal. A naked infant is the purest form of human life there is and anyone who gets weirded out has something wrong in their head. Although, it’s completely normal to have older toddlers and minors above that age be covered as a sign of privacy. And btw, that album is awesome!
