Being a drummer, I’ve been there, playing a guitar for 3 hours and playing drums for 3 hours are two
way different levels of exhaustion

The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly, Taylor.

I'm still so devastated about Taylors death, my family friend was as that concert when that happened and she called me and we both broke down. May God be with Taylor, family and his friends 😭🙏

Hawkins also had sleep apnea, a heart twice the size of a normal man! He had major anxiety before a show…the meds they found DID NOT cause his death..had not done heroin since his overdose in 2001..the meds were all prescribed except the cannabis….he knew about his heart for over a year..he played a 4 hr set two days before and the doctor said he might have suffered from altitude sickness from being high up in Columbia…which possibly led to a coronary collapse …he had a “runner’s” heart…toxicology tests take weeks not the next day for results…leave him alone…makes me 🤢 sick

You have to take inconsideration before Foo Fighters went to South America. They did a once off concert in Geelong in Victoria Australia (Melbourne is capital city). The concert was 4th March 2022. Taylor passed 25 March 2022. That are very long flights, he may have developed blood clots. Going on just memory they were only in Australia for 48 hours.
Flights from LAX to Melbourne 14hours, more from East Coast; 17 plus hours flying to South America or over 20 hours to Europe each way.

I think the real mistake he made was telling ANYONE in the music industry that he wanted to quit especially being in a successful band u cannot do that

I will say this, I too have passed out one time in my early 20s from playing back to back shows/practice. Just had this odd white noise sound in my head and I timbered to the floor, the impact woke me right up instantly and my friends were all around me making sure I was okay. Went to get a full checkup at the doctor and while everything was fine, he expressed that I take a lot of rest in between playing. 20 years later and thankfully it has never happened again.

Drums are really a different beast than other instruments.

Even if Matt and Chad’s words were taken out of context, it’s pretty clear Taylor was just mentally and physically exhausted from the whole thing.

I hadn’t heard he got into mountain biking. I got back into that 8 years ago. It saves me from the daily stress of my job. Total game changer 😊

I Love Foo fighters. The lack of information released concerning Taylor Hawkins death speaks volumes I think. It’s sad and at the same time I’ll bet his 50 years on earth is probably better than most’s 80 or 90 years.

Matt and Chad both said their comments were twisted and taken out of context. This is nothing more than speculation

I'm going through a similar pattern with my job. I'm 62, and must work less, but financial pressures force me to carry on.
I'm close to collapsing also.

Imagine waiting for your favourite band. Just to hear one of the bandmate (drummer) just passed away 😢. Rest in peace Taylor Hawkins 🌹

You would probably have to physically force Taylor to stop playing music, he loved it so much he had about 3 side projects one being a rock cover band that would play between Foo tours.
He was never going to quit playing with the Foo Fighters.

Man, Hawkins was cool. Team player to the end. I am 52 and starting to complain about my body now. The Army beat the hell out of me and I keep thinking I am still young and push myself too hard. I can definitely feel it now. I need to start learning to walk instead of run, metaphorically speaking.

So glad the authorities had the common sense to protect his privacy like that when removing him from the hotel. Sad the band thought it would be cool to play 3+ hours every show. "Always leave them wanting more."

He had an enlarged heart and got the Jab before the tour. Hmm no wonder why they won't talk about it. Thousands have died or almost died after getting the jab, especially those with pre existing heart conditions.

He should not have been performing so soon after his collapse on the flight. With an enlarged heart to boot! Drugs or no drugs. The insurance company probably had a field day with that info alone. Rip Taylor 🙏

in other words Dave grohl is partially responsible for his death

A person's health should always come first, this man had a family to support. Yes. He loved being in the band, but he knew that he had issues. I love the Foo Fighters, but whoever it was that did the tour schedule should have taken into account that these guys aren't as young as they used to be . They could have taken more time between gigs to take care of their health. They made enough money to be able to do that. ❤ love and prayers 🙏 to his family.
