Sure a 10, 000 mile interval will get your car through the warranty period then the cost of your new engine is on you. It won't last 300, 000 + miles like it would with a 5, 000 mile interval.

Bring the car to the dealer for maintenance and don't change the oil?

10, 000 mile oil change is so wrong, you will damage your engine with time. Especially the engine cylinder walls.
5000 miles or 6months is the ideal with full synthetic oil.

The Dealer never shows what type of oil they use, in my experience the has a large tank of really, really ship oil. Guys never ever take your car at the Dealer for the oil change, do yourself a favor.

Of course a dealership wants you to go 10k miles, why wouldn’t they want you to be a repeat customer after spending 40k plus every decade or so.

10k is garbage. Almost no one meets the requirements of driving to get a 10k oil change. Get em at 5.make sure you're vehicle laats.

Is that what you are telling your customers? Change your engine oil at 10, 000 miles? I am an ASE Certified Master Mechanic for almost 34 years and I would never tell a customer to let their oil change go for 10, 000 miles. That's insane! For normal usage vehicles, I tell customers 5, 000 miles on their full synthetic proper viscosity engine oil recommended by the factory. However, on severe usage vehicles, such as vehicles that are driven on a daily basis in Florida, (for example), in heavy traffic, lots of idling in traffic jams, etc., I recommend to them 3, 000-3, 500 miles. I guess the reason Toyotas are receiving lower reliability ratings than they have in the past is because service people like yourself are giving out poor maintenance information!
