How to downgrade Android Auto and rollback to a working version with AAAD

Apps like CarStream, Fermata Auto and AA Mirror may not work with the latest version of Android Auto. To fix the issue you can try installing an older version of Android Auto.

I have auto updates turned off. I installed an older version of android auto. During the installation and said it needed an update and my only choice was exit. I could not figure out how to install it it without the built in auto update request happening first.
WAZE stopped working after a android auto update I did yesterday. It starts to bring it up but I get a Black screen no map. I can speak and make a direction request but it does not bring up the map.

I had the latest version of Android Auto 6.5 xx on my Samsung Android 11 and it didn't work.
I followed your video and downgraded to version 6.3 xx and everything worked perfectly.

I'm afraid this can't be done on Android 11
Android Auto is stitched / built into Android 11 and can only be turned off, not uninstalled. Installing an older version of AA does not result in the application icon appearing.

I didn't need to downgrade to get Fermata to work again, what worked for me is i went into my phones settings and uninstalled both the new and old Fermata Auto, then i uninstalled Fermata Control, after i re-download the new Fermata and BOOM, it works, hasn't stopped since!

AA 6.6.6 is set forcibly to upgrade new version, when I first open AA. It is inevitable. Thus I cannot downgrade AA on October 2021.

I don't have the uninstall option, since my Android Auto app is integrated into my OS standard apps, however I can disable and go to the appstore to uninstall completely. This lets me install the version i want to, in this case the 6.3 version of Android Auto.
My problem is that I cannot open Android Auto after the downgrade, it will only let me update to the newest version.

When trying to do the download mine says " theres a update and gives options to cancel or install. So no way around it. If i click install it doesnt download anything just a error

I am on Android 13 with Android Auto version 9 installed.
I couldn't uninstall it so I forced stopped the app and disabled it.

Hi still can't get screen 2 to work but car screen works perfectly, & I have down graded aa as told & stopped updates but still not working, every time I touch on some thing through screen 2 ( I have the home page showing ) but, say I want to play YouTube through it the screen just goes blank although the video is still running on the phone & I have??
