"That sucks. That was beautiful." Perfect judo response to the loss. Congrats!

The fact you got third place tells us you’re a very well rounded martial artist and physically athletic. It’s becoming pretty regular for you to rock up and do well in a new martial art

Always a pleasure to see an enthusiastic coach who is passionate about his sport.

My daughter (8 years old) and I are Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. She asks to watch your channel at least once a day. You’re doing great work, brother.

Sometimes I'm jealous of your adventures... this isn't one of those times!

I've done Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ in my 40 years of living this life. I started with Judo. It still remains the hardest form of physical activity I've ever done ever. All the other martial arts I've mentioned above can be really tough when you train hard. But man I still get PTSD when I recall my days of training Judo. I love it still but I'm a bit too broken in places now to really wanna get into it again.

I love how in all these videos you don't shy away from the bits where you're nervous and doubt yourself. It honestly makes the whole thing more compelling to watch

Oh boy, this kind of work really requires courage and motivation, which is very rare nowadays. You are like a role model for me. You are not afraid to try new things and this is one of the most important things I like about you Seth. This week's video is also great as always.❤❤❤

the most vivid memory i have of a judo tournanent is a fight i had against a smaller, less experienced judoka: I was a 1.74 m fourteen years old green belt going against a yellow-orange belt that was probably 1.65 max, so I got cocky and tought it would be an easy fight.
i got stomped. I was launched in the first 5 second with a beatiful Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi that allowed my opponent to use al my inertia to send me flying into the ground, earning him a clean ippon.
in the end I had the possibility to fight and win the 4th place while he got beaten in the next fight and got 3rd, but it showed to me how this sport rewarded technicque and execution above all and how those could only earned through hard work. thank you Sensei Seth for bringing back those memories, and I can't wait to see how judo will repay your efforts. good luck!

At some point you should do either a recap vid of all the competitions, or a tier ranking based on the difficulty of each.

Reminds me of my first judo competition ever. I was so nervous, I couldn't even hear the referee, but the feeling was so real. Thank you, Seth, and great job.

I really love the respectful way (without being too serious about it) you approach any and all martial arts.

Honestly, as someone who has been practicing Judo for over a decade, I can say with confidence that you were phenomenal for someone with only one practice under their belt!

Dude, it is SO COOL to watch you try all these different martial arts. By far one of my top three YouTube channels. Always learning something new! You bring so much value to the community. Keep it up, man 👍
Also, the look on your face at the end was priceless. 😆 You're racking up quite the collection of medals. 🏅🥈🥉

Great video! I used to do judo when I was younger and it's abundantly clear to me that I knew absolutely nothing at the time. Loved the mental fortitude to keep going even after you were knocked out of the first event. Especially on just a single training, this was a great performance.
