What was amazing about that was not just the clean ippon seoi nage, it was the transition.

Normally in a judo contest the throw (a perfect clean ippon) would have ended the contest.

It would have been natural to see the combatant relax in this moment since he would normally have defeated his opponent.

Seeing him instantly transition to an arm lock showed great awareness.

Excellent awareness.
