These deaths are so brutal it really reminds you of how tragic the other humans' deaths were. They were all just kids :(

I like this showed another side to echoes of another by showing how Flowey got Clover to leave Toriel. I think you presented it in the most logical way for it to be conceptualized. Reminding Clover of the mission for the missing kids with most likely some gaslighting guilt tripping sprinkled in.

Damn, this hits hard. All the gruesome deaths Clover had to endure because of Flowey, all the pain he experienced... And despite all that suffering, Clover still chose to be good (in the canon ending anyway).

It has been a while since Yellow came out now, and I had legitimately forgotten the sensations this story, and these characters are capable of generating.

What a brilliantly pensive extension of this scene you have made.


Really though, as it stands, even though my passion for this game waned, seeing this now, these emotional threads are more evocative than anything that has come out of Deltarune so far.

If the puzzles are so deadly and Clover died from them, and he is the sixth person to fall into the dungeon plus Chara, then that means that those who fell before Clover encountered dangerous puzzles.

0:18: Unknown. Possibly killed by a Snowdin enemy.
0:20: Impaled by an ice spike.
0:21: Stabbed by some of Undyne's spears.
0:23: Unknown. Either drowned or killed by a Waterfall enemy and thrown into the water.
0:24: Fell off a bridge into lava.
0:25: Burnt to a crisp by lasers.
0:27: Either heat stroke or they just... Gave up.

i like to think flowey DID feel a bit bad during clover's first few deaths (since he DID seem to be present at the ruins when he gave them that/took the butterscotch pie) but, like everything else, eventually got used to it, bored, even, so he decided to "do them a favor" by changing their route and making sure they avoid most of the underground while entertaining him at the same time
