The Titanium finish is worth it for those who doesn’t like the Ultra. Its a big chunky watch and we dont do rugged activities. There are those I know who returned the Ultra 2 and got the Titanium finish instead. I for one, upgraded from cellular Series 7 Aluminium to Series 10 Natural Titanium and its worth it. 🤓

Disagree with you that the ultra 2 is hands down better than the titanium series 10, the 10 actually has some serious benefits over the ultra. The first and most obvious benefit is the size and weight. Apple wasn’t kidding when they said this was the thinnest Apple Watch they’ve ever made, and for once, this is actually appreciated (unlike the iPad Pro, just give us more battery life instead of making it so thin!). My dad has an Ultra, which I tried on when making my purchasing decision and immediately realized how much heavier it was! My dad tried on my Series 10 and commented on how much lighter it was and that it almost felt like he had nothing on his wrist, which was nice. The thinner design also means it’s less likely to get caught on clothing sleeves. Small difference, I know, but it’s nice when the sleeve doesn’t snag on the watch. I even notice this difference from my Series 7.

And the other difference is that since the Ultra 2 is just the same watch from last year with a new color option, it doesn’t get the super low always-on refresh rate to refresh once a second vs once a minute. I alternate between using an analog watch face and a digital one, and being able to see the ticking secondhand in always-on mode is really nice. Once again, a small feature but something that influenced my decision.

And the last key benefit of the Series 10 that led me to choosing it over the Ultra 2 is the design and look. The Ultra looks like a rugged watch, and while the black titanium makes it a bit more sleek, the Series 10 is more easily able to adapt to the situation. Usually, I wear an Ultra trail loop band with the Series 10 since it’s super comfortable, but if I’m going out to a nice dinner or formal event, I swap out the trail loop for the color-matched slate Milanese loop that looks very nice and dressy. The watch just works for every situation in a way that I think the Ultra wouldn’t.

Now, this is not to say that everyone should choose the Series 10 over the Ultra 2. Of course, for those who really value battery life and those additional health features, the Ultra is a great option. I mainly wrote this to push back against a prevailing narrative I’ve seen online and exemplified in this video, which is that the Ultra is obviously the best watch, hands down, and that there’s no reason to get the titanium Series 10 since the Ultra is basically the same price and better. As I outlined, I think there’s a good case to be made that the Series 10 is a better watch in certain ways that are worth considering and is worth potentially buying over the Ultra. But ultimately, that decision is up to you, and I will leave it at that.

The improvements now a so small it’s not worth the upgrade, the same with the phones. A few years time they’ll make it thicker again and people will be saying that’s better. Who really is going to listen to music through their watch? Next to nobody!

I just switched from the Ultra 1 to the Series 10 Aluminium in jet black -> best decision ever 🤝🏼

Keeping my titanium Series 7 until the Series 11 comes out. I suspect the S11 SiP will be 3nm. If not I will wait for the Series 12, which will certainly be 3nm.

Just ordered the Apple Watch 10 in the 46mm aluminum version. Upgrading from version 6 so it should be worth it for me.

I have mine now for two days, coming from a series 4. It’s amazing, I have the 46mm version and it’s huge! So keep that in mind. I used a charger from my 2022 iPad and my watch charged from 7% to 92% in 25 mins so the 30 mins that apple claims is about right. I have the aluminum version as well and if you are a bit clumsy like I am, I do recommend a case. I have a very thin one and it will protect it when you for example bump into a wall😅
