Apart from crash detection & the new temperature sensor, series 8 it’s the same as the series 7, same bigger display, fast charging, sensors, functions & battery life!
And, since the series 7 it’s on sale, right now, for me it was a no brainer, went ahead and bought the green 41 mm, since i got a pretty small wrist.. it’s a great watch and i’m very happy with my purchase decision

I currently have an Apple Watch series 4 which now has a shocking battery life of about 5 hours! Funny how this came about after an update in 2022. So I guess I'm going to need a new watch very soon. As a disabled person I have particular requirements (one of which no one has mentioned and that is Medical ID. This can be an absolute lifesaver with the wealth of information it can hold).

Anyway, back to your video (and I did happen to notice, as you were scrolling through the watches, that they did both appear to have Medical ID) I felt the SE was tremendous value for money and that will be the one I would go for.

got the SE as someone who thought smart watches weren’t useful but i looove it and it feels so weird to go out without it now. the battery does only last like 1.5 days which is ok i guess

Just purchased my first apple smart watch I got the second generation SE. It being a little lower quality, do you recommend a screen protector and possibly a guard for the body? Enjoyed your video, great job👍

I would’ve liked the O2 monitoring, but that was out of my price range. I wish the bezels would’ve been a bit thinner on the SE so it would be easier to read off of. I’m older, sight is not what it used to be. I for me the larger sized watch I find too bulky. But it’s the only “con” for me. The heart rate monitor is very accurate. And that was the main reason for me to get a smartwatch. I can easily make a full day with this. So I’m very content with it!

Nice overall comparison between the two. I was also stuck between saving costs and going for the best one for a longer run. My deciding factor is the fast charging. Twice as fast irl. If you’re like me and want to charge your watch only while taking a shower, go for series 8. If this is none of your concern, save your bucks.

Got an Apple Watch SE for Christmas, was generally not that sold on smart watches when they first came out. It’s my first time having a smartwatch. Went to the Apple shop yesterday to compare and contrast between the SE and the series 8 - I decided to continue with the SE and already I’m really enjoying. Ordered a new strap, and a pretty Swarovski accessory for the bezels. 😊

I upgraded from the SE to the Ultra for the battery life since I track sleep and multiple workouts. That said, other than battery the SE did all I needed for the last several years (Nike Cellular edition). I honestly think the SE is for most people, it’s a great watch (Blood Ox and ECG are kind of gimmicks TBH).

I’ve had my series 6 for 2 years and I don’t even really use the ECG or blood oxygen sensor. Only thing I love is the always on display
